dancing girl | Scrapbook Layout

2.28.2018

Sharing a fun layout that I created using Cocoa Daisy's March 12x12 Memory Keeping and Pocket kits today! I finally felt inspired to create, mostly due to the arrival of my lovely yellow and white polka dot box that arrived on my doorstep just days ago. Funny how that happens.

There are some fun epoxy circle stickers that came in both kits this month so I was sure to make use of some of them on this layout. I added a bit of whimsy and movement along the bottom of my layout by simply using my sewing machine, adding some stitching below my printed journaling.

I have some more completed projects that I'll be sharing yet this week on the blog...I can't wait! I really had fun with this month's kit!

Do It With a Smile | Mini Book

2.11.2018

Sharing a mini that I made using the February Cocoa Daisy 12 x 12 Memory Keeping and Pocket kits. I cut out a digital file for the base of the album using my Silhouette Cameo from kraft cardstock and then added my patterned papers, phrase stickers, cardstock die-cuts, buttons, ribbons, photos, etc.

There are only three photos in this little accordion book but I knew I wanted them to be housed somewhere special since they are such special ones of Zoey and two of her good friends.

Using the mixed media diecuts from Vicki Boutin made putting this little mini together an absolute breeze! I used so many of these cut-outs in this mini. It really made the whole thing come together quite nicely, and quickly!

Loving the little birds!

Here is the mini spread out...

and then here is a picture of the back of the album. I decided to put my favorite photo (enlarged) on the back so it would have it's own special place. It kind of looks like a photo in a frame looking at it this way.

Last weekend was my book club for the teens that I serve at the library that I work at and Leo (our dog) wasn't feeling the best which meant some visits to the vet, new meds, some special food prep for his diet (rice and hamburger) and some extra-special care and a brief period of a few days where we were all worrying about him. He's such a huge part of our life...hate it when he's sick! One of my good friends had surgery this week too and my heart was worrying for her and her family as well. To be honest, I really wasn't feeling like crafting at all this week with all the stress and worry, so I'm thankful I was able to get this little project put together in the time that I did. Once I started in on it though, I was feeling more inspired and it ended up being quite therapeutic actually and I'm happy with how it turned out. Funny how that works!

Wishing you a productive week ahead, whatever that may mean for you!

XO,
